A straight blowback action offers enhanced simplicity and reliability while polished feed ramp offers reliable feeding. Vertical serrations on the slide provide an improved cocking grip. The button-rifled, target crowned steel barrel is reliable, accurate and designed to provide years of fast-shooting. The 1911-22 also has a grip and manual thumb safeties, single-action trigger pull, and a steel slide block encloses the firing pin and extractor.
